Steve Jobs was born February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California, and was adopted as an infant. He co-founded Apple in his family's garage in 1976, was forced out in 1985, built NeXT and Pixar, then returned to launch the iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad. He died of pancreatic cancer October 5, 2011.
